Ren faire pics

I finally got the Ren faire pics from my friend who went with me. Typically it never occurs to me to take a camera anywhere. Now, I have to say that if I had seen a pic of me in what I was wearing I might have made a few changes. it was the first time I wore the entire outfit. The pics are on paper so I need to scan them in and typically the scanner is not cooperating. Oh well, I'm off tomorrow so I will beat it into submission then. It was my first Ren faire and I had a great time. Will definitely go again and since the outfit involves a corset I will be posting it to Merry Corsetier as well. Sorry about the picture tease.

I finally managed to upload some pics into my gallery so for more views of the hummingbird corset check out my gallery. I'm off work today and last night I stayed up late cooking--I made fish chowder, scotcheroos and base for two batches of icecream. Oh! better go check on the espresso one right now. Damn it's still not freezing! I think I put too much mix in the poor little electric icecream machine. Take it out, refreeze the core, and do it in two batches I guess. I'm looking forward to sewing today and maybe getting some dye batches going. I usually get on here at work so I don't post much. After staring at a computer all day one of the last things I want to do when I get home is look at one.

Hi I found this site by accident at work and couldn't wait to get home to try it. It's great to see so many people who all love to make corsets!!! I look forward to many hours of not sewing as I sit here glued to the postings.

Also I was wondering what width of ribbon do you use for lacing (when you use ribbon that is). I don't feel like dying to match for this corset and it's not meant for heavy use so I think ribbon will work but I've never used ribbon before. Please advise.
